The new BC PNP report shows that Indian citizens in China dominated last year

British Columbia in 2017 nominated 2,350 candidates with a noticeable increase in the number of candidates for the category EEBC - Skilled Worker category, according to a new report.

Nine provinces of Canada and two territories have Provincial Programs that allow them to nominate a certain number of economic immigrants each year.

Candidates from the category Express Entry with a provincial nomination receive an additional 600 points on the CRS.

BC PNP has four categories of immigration that are associated with the Express Entry system: EEBC - International Graduate; EEBC - Skilled Worker; EEBC - International Post-Graduate; and EEBC - Healthcare Professional.

In the EEBC - Skilled Worker category, the most significant was observed, which increased from 799 nominations in 2016 to 1,181 in 2017.

 

Candidates who are interested in PNP BC must register an expression of interest in Skills BCP.

Among other criteria is a valid offer from an employer from B.C., an employer is required in order to be eligible to participate in the EEBC - International Graduate, EEBC - Skilled Worker and EEBC - Healthcare Professional categories.

In general, applications for BC PNP increased by 36 percent in 2017. In 2017, 7307 applications were received, compared with 5,363 in 2016.

7,201 applications, or 98.5 percent, went through various categories within the Skills BC PNP immigration stream, which includes four Express Entry categories.

The remaining 1.5% or 106 applications were filed within the Entrepreneur Immigration Stream.

India, China, the leading countries.

Indian citizens received 32 percent and 21 percent of nominations in 2017.

These proportions, in fact, coincide with 2016, when Indian citizens received 32 percent of the nomination, and the citizens of China received 22 percent.

In addition to India and China, the top 10 countries included South Korea, Australia, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Ireland, the United States, the Philippines and Iran.

Chinese citizens dominated the Entrepreneur Immigration Stream, gaining 78 percent of all nominations.

The best professions

The managers of restaurants and food products led the top 10 professions of those nominated nominations within the framework of the Skills Skills immigration stream in 2017. BC PNP reports that the proportion of nominations given to candidates in this profession, as well as administrative assistants, continued to grow in 2017 compared to previous years. "

The top ten professions included four in the food industry, took 18 percent of all nominations in 2017. Other occupations in the top 10 included administrative assistants, truck drivers, retail managers and accountants.

Foreign technical workers are in the focus of the Tech Pilot BC PNP, which issues weekly invitations to applicants with a proposal for work from B.C. one of 29 priority technical professions.
