PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND. IMMIGRATION NEWS. ROUND JUNE 21.

The Atlantic province of Prince Edward Island issued 135 invitations to the results of the round held on June 21, including 32 candidates from the Express Entry pool.The Immigration Department of the PEI stated that the invited candidates either currently work in the provinces or graduated from one of the educational institutions in the province. 

Candidates from the Express Entry pool who want to be considered in the PEI Express Entry Category should create a profile in the system of  Expression of Interest.  Points are awarded based on six factors of selection: age, language, education, work experience, employment and adaptability. Candidates can score a maximum of 100 points.

Candidates from the Express Entry pool that were invited through the PEI Express Entry Category have 90 days from the date of the invitation to apply to the Immigration Office of the province. Candidates who have been nominated by PEI receive an additional 600 points on the system (CRS).

Category Labour Impact Category PEI is designed for people who have the skills and experience that are necessary in the PEI labor market.

The category is divided into three streams:

  • skilled workers
  • critical workers
  • international graduates

43 Invitations were also given to  Business Impact Category.
