New Brunswick's Medicare for International Students

The province of New Brunswick has announced that public health care is now available to foreign students who study at full time in the province. The announcement was made on October 6 and entered into force immediately. To receive coverage, international students in New Brunswick must apply for New Brunswick Medicare. In addition, foreign students must provide the following information and documents: the date of arrival in the province, a valid study permit from the Ministry of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship of Canada (IRCC), and a certificate of registration at a university or college in New Brunswick. This program also applies to spouses and dependents of foreign students in the province of New Brunswick.
